Copper mesh is often used as a packing material for reflux columns. A benefit of distilling with copper is the removal of sulfides in the distilled product.
An excellent choice for 2" columns.
Sold in rolls to fit 2" pipe and slightly over-sized for a firm fit. Each roll can provide approximately 2 theoretical plates under nominal conditions.

Four strand (special order):
This copper mesh is a weaved tube of 4 copper strands. Originally used for mass conversion in laboratory equipment, it has been adopted by distillers for it's high theoretical plate value and similarity in results to spiral prismatic packing (SPP), at a comparatively much lower price. It's approximately 50% denser, and has a higher surface area to mass ratio compared to it's cheaper, single strand counterpart.
