The assembled version of our DIY kit.

This medium copperhead will mount to any 2" triclamp ferrule or beer keg sanke fitting. It's 36" condenser is an appropriate length for cooling the vapors of most hobbyist boilers. An in-line thermometer provides a quick read of vapor temperature.

The union design allows for clearance adjustment prior to operation.

Included:

  • (1) 2" Triclamp reducer to liebig assembly with 1/2" union
  • (1) 36" liebig with 24" of 3/4" over 1/2" water jacket
  • (1) 2" Clamp
  • (2) 2" Gaskets
  • (1) 1/2" NPT thermometer
Traditional distillers had used the 'worm bucket' as their product condenser: a length of soft copper tubing submerged in a container of cold water. Of course, this is still practiced today, but for most folks with easy access to residential water, a liebig design becomes more practical. By comparison, the liebig occupies much less of a footprint. And, although rare, there is no risk of pooling condensate as found in the spiraling tubes of the 'worm'.
